One day in October, 2023 I arrived home after work and my highly imaginative eight-year-old informed me that he was operating an AirBnB. So I thought, “Well, what if?” I began to write this short screenplay shortly thereafter. I worked through several drafts in the ensuing months and began pre-production after the first of the year. I gathered a cast and crew of students and faculty and went into production on May 18, 2024 for six days of shooting over 8 calendar days. During the summer I was in the editing suite working alongside my editor. I spent a great deal of time sourcing music for the film. The final cut was ready on August 1, 2024, which had been my deadline from the start.
